Adam Rudegeair Jazz Trio

As a teenager I loved the sounds of piano trios led by Ahmad Jamal, Harry Connick Jr, Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk. For 14 years my jazz trio has existed in various forms, but I feel that with the current lineup of Adam Spiegl on bass and Thomas Mitchell on drums I have finally nailed the perfect balance of deep groove, risk, and telepathy that I have always aspired to. We love performing left-of-centre repertoire (David Bowie songs, Janelle Monae, Law & Order theme), and jazz standards given exciting re-arrangements. Adam and Thom are consumate and empathetic musicians, but most importantly, they understand where I’m coming from musically, and effortlessly take the energy in the room and convert it to thrilling musical dynamism. I love working with them, it’s a blast.

Sometimes Daimon Brunton joins us on trumpet and kicks all our asses with his brash virtuosity!
